There’s so much joy and goodness in Special Olympics!
I’ve watched firsthand the positive impact Special Olympics has made on the lives of my family members. My niece Sarah (22) and nephew, Matthew (25) have been participating in Special Olympics since they were 8 years old. Both have done it all…swimming, skiing, floor-hockey, bowling, and track. Downhill skiing might be my personal favorite as I get to ski with them…not a bad Sunday activity! The positive benefits go beyond the athletes, and are deeply felt by the parents, caregivers, and volunteers alike.
It’s fun to share my personal story but I don’t want to miss the opportunity to give a nudge to volunteer. I’d love to help your business organize a volunteering event; it’s a terrific and rewarding way to help your team bond while giving back.
